  • Ruido, new single by An Danzza

Ruido , the new single by An Danzza, is now available on digital platforms and on YouTube as a music video. It’s very different from what this veteran folk project has released so far. Ruido is a raw, fast-paced track with a clear message: indifference in the face of barbarity is what will end us. In it, hurdy-gurdies, bagpipes, guitars and whistles intertwine with synthesizers and electronic elements, resulting in a dizzying, powerful song , far removed from the melodic beauty that usually characterizes the compositions of this Madrid-based band. The single comes with a music video set in a post-apocalyptic Madrid, where we see the Cibeles Fountain abandoned and overgrown with vegetation, the Four Towers half-collapsed, and El Retiro Park turned into an echo of what it once was. Shot in the mysterious ghost town of El Alamín (Madrid), the images of destruction suggest that wild nature would reclaim what humans once took from it. Both the music video and the single are fully independent productions, something that has defined An Danzza since their beginnings over 20 years ago and gives them complete control and creative freedom over their music. Less than a year ago, An Danzza released their latest album, Encantadas , also available on digital platforms. It’s a medieval-folk record that they are taking to stages in Spain and abroad in trio format (violin, guitar/bouzouki, voice/percussion) and as a trio with dancer. Booking for 2026 is now open (for more information, contact: andanzzapress@gmail.com ). This is how An Danzza sounds LIVE . • Now available: Encantadas, the tenth album by An Danzza, inspired by the fairies of the Iberian Peninsula

The fantasy folk/world music project An Danzza has just released Encantadas , its tenth studio album, on digital platforms. This new album, with a more medieval and folk sound than its predecessor Visions of a volva  (2023), marks a return to its roots and even features an original Murcian jota titled La encantá . Based in Madrid with Murcian origins, the band delves into the stories of the Iberian Peninsula, collecting legends of enchanted beings – the "fairies" of our folklore – from as diverse locations as Guadalajara, Madrid, Asturias, Galicia, Cantabria, Catalonia, Extremadura, Murcia, Euskadi, and Portugal. • An Danzza releases 'Alojas', the third single from their tenth album 'Encantadas'

The new track from the veteran folk group is inspired by the legend of the nymphs of Lake Banyoles (Catalonia) and is now available on digital platforms and as a music video on YouTube An Danzza delves into Catalan mythology with their new single,  Alojas , a track  inspired by the story of the nymphs of Lake Banyoles (Girona, Catalonia) . According to legend, at the bottom of these waters lies a crystal palace inhabited by aquatic women. Local folklore describes them as extraordinarily beautiful, eternally young creatures who can be seen combing their hair, singing, and dancing on moonlit nights. However, it is said that venturing near the lake at night is not advisable, as they are believed to lure humans into their domain, making them disappear forever. The music of this track  captures the essence of those magical nocturnal dances under the moonlight , blending ethereal melodies and hypnotic rhythms that evoke the stillness and mystery of the lake. Carefully crafted instrumental arrangements enhance the dreamlike and captivating nature of the piece. Alojas  is part of An Danzza’s  tenth album, Encantadas, which draws inspiration from mythical female figures of various traditions across the Iberian Peninsula.  This album, set  to be released in the coming months , brings to life stories from Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, Catalonia, Murcia, Madrid, Guadalajara, Extremadura, and Portugal. An Danzza will present this work live at the historic Sala Galileo Galilei in Madrid on May 14, 2025,  in a very special concert performed as a trio with a dancer:  https://salagalileo.es/eventos/an-danzza/
