An Danzza leaves its mark on the Azores with a sold-out concert

The Spanish ensemble closed the fifth edition of the Música No Forte world music series, presenting their latest album, Encantadas, in a trio format
The Spanish folk and world music group An Danzza closed the fifth edition of the Música No Forte series with a sold-out concert at the Lajes do Pico Auditorium, in the Azores (Portugal). The venue was packed, with audience members even filling the stairways, and the group was met with a long and enthusiastic standing ovation at the end of the performance.
The Madrid-based ensemble performed as a trio -guitar/bouzouki, vocals and percussion, and violin- presenting their tenth album, Encantadas, a musical journey inspired by magical legends from the Iberian Peninsula.
The concert was originally scheduled to take place outdoors at Forte de Santa Catalina, but had to be moved to the auditorium due to weather conditions. The change of venue only confirmed the anticipation surrounding the performance: An Danzza filled the new venue and won over the audience in Pico with a live show that was enthusiastically received from beginning to end.
The performance in the Azores thus adds another milestone to An Danzza’s international career and further demonstrates the group’s ability to connect with diverse audiences and generate a powerful response in concert.
