An Danzza at the 'Tardes Folkies de Valderrivas'

The fantasy folk/world music band An Danzza will take the audience on a journey through the fantasy worlds of their extensive discography on August 7th at 8:00 PM during the 'Tardes Folkies en Valderrivas' series, in the back courtyard of the Fuente de San Pedro-Valderrivas Cultural Center (c/ del Titanio, 5, Vicálvaro).

Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, the group will perform as a trio (guitar, violin, and vocals/small percussion), accompanied by renowned oriental dancer Layali Alkasar, who will bring the band's music to life through movement. The concert will also serve as the occasion to debut new material from their upcoming album Encantadas, dedicated to the fairies of the Iberian Peninsula, set to be released in the coming months.

An Danzza is an original fantasy folk project that began as a studio endeavor in 2004, led by composer Andrés Campuzano. Influenced by artists like Loreena McKennitt, Enya, and Mike Oldfield, as well as works of fiction like The Lord of the Rings, An Danzza’s music transports listeners to dreamlike, magical fantasy worlds, creating an immersive and unique atmosphere.

Over these 20 years, which will be marked in 2024, An Danzza has released 9 albums, garnered over 7 MILLION views on YouTube, and achieved more than half a million annual streams on Spotify.

Fueled by listener support and positive reviews from the specialized press, Andrés took the project live for the first time in 2016, performing alongside major bands in the genre such as Corvus Corax (Germany), Emian (Italy), and SeeD (Netherlands), among others.

An Danzza as a trio consists of:
